Health & Safety Management
Good health and safety practices are enshrined
in law but they are also important as a way of improving the quality
of life in the workplace and the environment around it. Competence
in health and safety management allows businesses and their employees
to perform to maximum potential.
Risk Assessment
The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
1999 require the application of risk assessment to all significant health
or safety risks in the workplace
Safety Policy and Audit
Those same requirements call for effective management
of health and safety risks, which is best covered in a written policy.
A safety audit can be processed via software or through conventional
methods to produce effective safety management documentation
On-site Inspection
We can provide routine safety inspection of site activities,
whether a permanent or temporary site (e.g. construction). Site managers
and supervisors receive immediate verbal debriefing followed by a summary
written report
Training and Development
We believe that continuing education, professional
development and training are essential in the field of health and safety
management and can provide a range of standard courses. Bespoke training
modules can also be provided.
Litigation
Our professionals have wide ranging experience in providing
expert opinion based on detailed knowledge of employment and public safety
issues across different operational environments
Asbestos surveys for buildings
Our trained, experienced surveyors can carry out all
types of asbestos survey for your buildings. Current HSE advice on building
management expects employers to know the risks that any asbestos based
materials may pose. The legislation is expected to make this a clear
duty very soon. We can advise on risk assessment and management.
Planning Supervision
We can advise you on all aspects of construction safety,
the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and your duty
to appoint a Planning Supervisor if you are a client. We can act as Planning
Supervisor (effectively a safety co-ordinator) for your construction
project. The appointment has to be (legally) made very early in the project's
life at or before the start of design work.
